Iganga municipal council had a familiarization meeting with the new resident district commissioner (RDC) Iganga District Mr. Matende Thomas on 17^th February 2021 at Municipal council hall.

In attendance was OC station Iganga Mr. Karekyezi Martin, Deputy District internal security officer (DISO) Mr. Muhangi Simeon, deputy RDC Mr. Bwire Paul Ogallo, Town Clerk Mr. Alikwan Ayub Kisubi, deputy Mayor and technical staff.

The Town Clerk welcomed the RDC Mr. Matende Thomas and all the technical staff to the meeting. He also Thanked the RDC for attending the meeting.

The Town Clerk highlighted some of the ongoing projects in the entity such as Double surface road along Mpindi road, Saza road which is under construction by Doti Services Limited and Mutukula market among others.

The RDC in his speech requested members to co-operate with him in order to enable him execute his duties effectively. In this regard he promised to work as a team.
